Role Introduction - Project Intern, Governance and Technology (G&T)

The Governance and Technology team is a key pillar within the Financial Management (FM) function, dedicated to building a secure, efficient, and compliant environment through integrated platforms, robust Data Governance, and scalable analytics capabilities. We manage the ongoing operations of Workday Finance, including system design, configuration, security, compliance, and new feature enablement. Furthermore, we are driving the adoption of Snowflake as FM’s central data hub, developing proof-of-concepts (POCs) and scalable solutions to unlock data-driven insights and automation. By collaborating closely with internal teams and external service providers, we continuously drive process improvements and automation to elevate operational excellence.

As a Project Intern in the G&T team, you will help drive project implementations that deliver technology, process, and data solutions to strengthen governance and enable operational excellence within FM, with opportunities to support initiatives on finance data using Snowflake and related analytics tools.

Responsibilities

Research & Analysis

  • Use research and data analysis to support process design and optimization.
  • Identify opportunities for automation within Financial Management (FM).
  • Evaluate technology solutions for relevance and technical fit to business needs, recommending suitable tools for adoption or proof-of-concept trials.

Digital Solutions & Data Management

  • Support the implementation of digital solutions and system integrations.
  • Contribute to solution design, testing, and validation.
  • Build Workday applications to enhance user experience and improve business processes.
  • Monitor data quality during ingestion into the Data Lake/Snowflake.

AI-Driven Data Analytics & Visualization

  • Design and prototype AI/ML use cases to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Apply data analytics and AI-enabled insights to generate actionable recommendations.
  • Develop dashboards/applications to visualize data-driven insights and support decision-making.

Requirements & Qualifications

Technical & Analytical Requirements

  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a similar discipline.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, R, SQL, Snowflake, Streamlit, Tableau, and/or similar analytics and dashboarding tools.

Preferred Exposure (Plus)

  • Unstructured data and database management.
  • System integration.
  • AI workflow automation.
  • Web scraping.
