Job Description
Our Hybrid Sales team supports customers by providing clinical product information, educational resources, clinical training programs, and other resources. We support healthcare providers and healthcare systems in meeting the healthcare goals of patients in their communities.
The Pharmacy Vaccine Account Representative (PVAR) is a member of the Vaccine Account Team and plays a critical role in supporting the Company’s Vaccines customer engagement model. The PVAR engages assigned customers, including pharmacies, medical groups, and physician offices, to support local population health goals and focus on high-potential business opportunities that improve public health outcomes.
The PVAR works with the local market team to identify customer needs, align products and services, support pull-through activities related to integrated strategies, and demonstrate value and improved health outcomes to healthcare professionals and their patients. All activities must comply with Company policies and applicable U.S. laws and regulations.
The PVAR reports to the Customer Team Leader (CTL) within the Company’s Vaccine Customer Center and collaborates closely with the broader Vaccine Field Sales and Vaccines Pharmacy Account Executive teams.
Work Arrangement and Location
- This is a hybrid sales position. Approximately 60% of healthcare professional engagements occur remotely, while 40% require travel for live customer engagement and quarterly company meetings.
- The Vaccine Customer Center typically operates from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday. Hours align with the assigned territory’s time zone and may vary based on territory requirements.
- The candidate must live in the New York City metropolitan area, including New York City, Long Island, Northern New Jersey, Southern Connecticut, or Westchester County.
- Travel requirement: 75%.
- Flexible work arrangement: Remote.
Primary Responsibilities
Account Management and Contracting
Understand account interdependencies and customer healthcare goals to maximize account performance by building long-term relationships through collaborative business planning. Conduct customer business reviews with appropriate stakeholders, discuss the financial impact of contracts, review targeted vaccine program results, and identify opportunities to improve customer benefits.
- Maintain complete knowledge of the Company’s contract terms and conditions.
- Apply knowledge of contracts and historical ordering patterns to optimize vaccine purchases and maintain appropriate inventory in support of office protocols, vaccination goals, and patient seasonality.
- Establish and track account performance metrics to evaluate progress, assess opportunities, and adjust plans and associated activities.
- Apply knowledge of the Company’s full vaccine portfolio, competitive brands, immunization recommendations, and protocols to support standards of care and the development of vaccination protocols.
- Manage customer supply, product transition, back-order challenges, and related communications.
Sales Acumen
Build trust with customers and demonstrate value in selling situations through high-quality engagements that deliver products and solutions supporting improved health outcomes across pediatric, adolescent, and adult populations. Work cross-functionally with Field Sales counterparts to provide support and resources that help customers achieve their healthcare goals.
- Collaborate with customers using strong relationship management skills and customer insights to provide appropriate information and solutions.
- Understand customer beliefs and experiences and provide relevant insights that encourage changes in customer behavior.
- Create a compelling and logical rationale for the clinical value of Company vaccines and commercial offers in support of patient health and wellness.
- Ask strategic, insightful questions to understand customer healthcare needs and use those insights to position Company vaccines and commercial offers.
Customer Segmentation and Targeting
Segment assigned customers based on shared characteristics and buying behaviors to focus engagement effectively, allocate promotional resources, and execute commercial plans.
- Evaluate and prioritize business opportunities across assigned customer segments.
- Apply customer insights to differentially allocate marketing and field resources that support sales and marketing plans.
- Communicate the Company’s vaccine clinical information and commercial offers in a meaningful and relevant manner, customizing discussions based on each customer’s needs.
Position Qualifications
Education and Experience
- S1: Bachelor’s degree with 0–3 years of sales experience, or a high school diploma with at least 4 years of relevant work experience. Relevant experience may include professional sales, marketing, military service, or work in a healthcare or scientific field, such as pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical devices.
- S2: Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years or 36 months of sales experience, or a high school diploma with at least 6 years of equivalent experience. Relevant experience may include professional sales, marketing, military service, or work in a healthcare or scientific field, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical devices.
- Valid driver’s license.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this role is $71,900.00–$113,200.00. An employee’s position within the salary range will depend on factors including education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.
The successful candidate will be eligible for an annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
