Our 2027 Summer Internship Program is a paid 10-week learning experience designed to immerse you in the daily environment of a thriving global financial services company. You will gain invaluable industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments. You will participate in projects that directly affect our business, interact with senior leaders in conversational settings, and network with employees and interns across our offices. This 10-week internship provides you with realistic experiences of working at Guardian.

Interns may have the opportunity to be considered for Guardian's Finance Leadership Development Program upon successful completion of the internship. We are seeking candidates who are curious, adaptable, and excited to gain exposure to different areas of the Finance and Risk organization.

Internship Details

• Dates: Thursday, May 27, 2027 - Friday, August 6, 2027
• Location: New York, NY (Housing is not provided)

What We Are Looking For

You should be:

• A current junior (graduation date of May 2028) who is fueled by collaboration, able to listen and make quick decisions, and thrives in a goal-oriented environment.

Required Qualifications

You must have:

• Proficiency with finance and accounting principles.
• An interest in exploring multiple areas of Finance and Risk and a willingness to learn about different functions and career paths across the organization.
• Analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with AI-powered tools/CoPilot.

What You Will Do

As an intern, you will:

• Assist in the preparation of various reports, work papers, provisions, and reconciliations.
• Assist in tracking and reporting expenses, expense analysis, financial statement analytics, and journal entries.
• Assist in process improvement, automation, and ad hoc requests as needed.
• Have the opportunity to work and learn from supportive leaders, mentors, and team members across the organization who will coach you as you develop your professional career.
• Learn about Guardian’s purpose, values, how we work, and our suite of product and service offerings.
• Build a network of colleagues and have a sense of community with other interns and other parts of the business.
• Think broadly and ask questions about data, facts, and other information.

Eligibility and Compensation

Salary Range: $20.00 - $35.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position will ultimately be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.

Eligibility Requirements

• Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future for employment-based work authorization. F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered. H1-B and green card sponsorship are not available for this position.
• You must be available for the full program dates of the internship program.
