Our 2027 Summer Internship Program is a paid 10-week learning experience where you will be immersed in the daily environment of a thriving global financial services company. You will gain invaluable industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments, in addition to engaging in projects that directly affect our business, interacting with senior leaders, and networking with employees and interns across our offices. This 10-week internship provides realistic experiences of working at Guardian.
Interns may have the opportunity to be considered for Guardian's Finance Leadership Development Program upon successful completion of the internship. We are seeking candidates who are curious, adaptable, and excited to gain exposure to different areas of the Finance and Risk organization.
Internship Details
- Dates: Thursday, May 27, 2027 - Friday, August 6, 2027
- Application Window: Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and the window closes on Friday, November 13th, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET or when roles are filled, whichever comes first.
- Location: New York, NY (Housing is not provided)
Salary Range: $20.00 - $35.00. The salary reflected above is an estimate of base pay for the primary location. Final salary determination is based on the successful candidate's education, experience, knowledge, and abilities. This role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
What We Are Looking For
You are: A current junior (graduation date of May 2028) who is collaborative, capable of listening and quick decision-making, and thrives in a goal-oriented environment.
Required Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with coursework in finance, business, economics, or a related field.
- An interest in exploring multiple areas of Finance and Risk and a willingness to learn about different functions and career paths across the organization.
- Intellectual curiosity to learn, and the ability to analyze information and draw meaningful insights.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to ask insightful questions while connecting risk, controls, and business processes.
What You Will Do
- Support audit project work, collaborating with experienced professionals and gaining exposure to real-world business challenges.
- Assist in broader department-wide initiatives, gaining experience in process improvement and transformation.
- Assist in performing testing to support external audit controls over financial statement testing and/or model audit rule testing.
- Have the opportunity to work and learn from supportive leaders, mentors, and team members who will coach your professional development.
- Learn about Guardian’s purpose, values, how we work, and our suite of product and service offerings.
- Build a network of colleagues and feel a sense of community with other interns and parts of the business.
- Think broadly and ask questions about data, facts, and other information.
