Our 2027 Summer Internship Program is a paid 10-week learning experience where you will be immersed in the daily environment of a thriving global financial services company. You will gain invaluable industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments, in addition to engaging in projects that directly affect our business, interacting with senior leaders, and networking with employees and interns across our offices.

This 10-week internship provides realistic experiences and information about working at Guardian. Interns may have the opportunity to be considered for Guardian's Finance Leadership Development Program upon successful completion of the internship. We are seeking candidates who are curious, adaptable, and excited to gain exposure to different areas of the Finance and Risk organization.

Internship Details

Internship Dates: Thursday, May 27, 2027 - Friday, August 6, 2027

Qualifications and Role Expectations

What You Are

A current junior (graduation date of May 2028) who is fueled by collaboration, able to listen and make quick decisions, and thrive in a goal-oriented environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in finance and accounting principles.
  • An interest in exploring multiple areas of Finance and Risk and a willingness to learn about different functions and career paths across the organization.
  • Analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience demonstrating a self-starter mindset, including the ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities.

  • Support the preparation and analysis of tax reports, workpapers, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Participate in process enhancement efforts and ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Work and learn from supportive leaders, mentors, and team members across the organization who will help coach you as you develop your professional career.
  • Learn about Guardian’s purpose, values, how we work, and our suite of product and service offerings.
  • Build a network of colleagues and have a sense of community with other interns and other parts of the business.
  • Think broadly and ask questions about data, facts, and other information.

Eligibility and Compensation

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization. F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered. H1-B and green card sponsorship are not available for this position.
  • You must be available for the full program dates of the internship program.

Salary Range

$20.00 - $35.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
