The Opportunity
This Regional Disaster Recovery Intern role offers a key opportunity to strengthen the resilience of OCBC's technology infrastructure. You will gain hands-on experience supporting initiatives that ensure critical banking systems remain available and recoverable during disruptions.
You will work on data analytics, reporting, process improvement, and automation projects, gaining valuable exposure to enterprise Disaster Recovery (DR) practices. By collaborating with experienced technology professionals, you will develop both technical and professional skills that contribute directly to the bank's operational resilience and business continuity capabilities.
What You Will Do
Your responsibilities will include:
- Perform trend and gap analysis by integrating and analyzing incident management data and Disaster Recovery exercise results to identify improvement opportunities.
- Support the development and enhancement of centralized dashboards to track Disaster Recovery readiness, recovery metrics, and testing outcomes.
- Analyze and visualize data to provide insights that support operational resilience and decision-making.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of the Disaster Recovery Book of Work (BOW), Operations Manual, and Confluence knowledge repositories.
- Support knowledge management initiatives to ensure documentation remains comprehensive, accurate, and sustainable.
- Review and streamline Disaster Recovery checklists to improve consistency, completeness, and operational effectiveness.
- Support automation initiatives that enhance efficiency and reduce recovery time within the Disaster Recovery environment.
- Collaborate with technology teams to support ongoing Disaster Recovery readiness and continuous improvement efforts.
- Provide support on other assigned projects and tasks.

About the Team
Group Technology Services, situated within the Group Operations & Technology Division, provides the foundational technology capabilities that support OCBC's business operations and digital transformation journey.
As part of the Regional Disaster Recovery team, you will work alongside experienced technology professionals responsible for ensuring operational resilience, business continuity, and recovery readiness across the organization. You will gain exposure to enterprise technology operations, governance practices, and the critical processes that safeguard banking services.
Qualifications and Skills You Will Bring
- Currently pursuing an Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen interest in data-driven decision-making.
- Basic understanding of data analytics, trend analysis, and data visualization concepts.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
- Basic scripting experience in Python, Bash/Shell scripting, or Java.
- Familiarity with databases and SQL would be advantageous.
- Genuine interest in technology operations, resilience, business continuity, or Disaster Recovery.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn.
