Jr. Advisory Specialist

We aim to enable Field Representatives to serve as The Trusted Advisor by continuously growing client and advisor solutions, helping Field Representatives diversify their practices, clients, and income streams.

The Jr. Advisory Specialist is an integral part of Park Avenue Securities. Reporting to the Head of Wealth Specialists (who reports to the Head of Business Development), you will provide Field Representatives with advisory product solutions for specific client situations by leveraging your understanding of available On Platform products or TAMP solutions offered by Park Avenue Securities.

What You Will Do (Responsibilities)

  • Be responsible for product questions, solutioning, introduction of new products, case design, proposal development, delivery of product education, and execution of Go-To-Market strategies.
  • Work closely with Sr. Advisory Specialists and Advisory Specialists to support their efforts, focusing on the overall growth of the Advisory business within assigned agency territories.
  • Analyze investment portfolios, develop investment strategy proposals, and communicate investment product objectives, portfolio strategies, basic financial planning concepts, and investment knowledge.
  • Collaborate with the overall Business Development team to implement and execute communications, campaigns, and growth plans within the sales territory.
  • Assist in identifying and communicating sales opportunities to registered representatives.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on wealth management products.
  • Conduct consultative and educational sales calls and presentations to registered representatives.
  • Document all Field interactions in the wholesaler CRM.
  • Deliver case design, strategy, competitive intelligence, pricing, and point-of-sale support as needed to Sr. and Advisory Specialists.
  • Proactively support driving growth for Advisory-related PAS strategic partnerships, including Investment Specialists.

What You Bring (Requirements & Qualifications)

Required Qualifications

  • Strong advisor management skills.
  • Ability to support case design and proposal preparation.
  • Desire to drive results and achieve sales growth.
  • Broad-based industry and product knowledge.
  • Strong consultative skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • 1-3 years of overall experience within the financial services industry.
  • Series 7 license is required.
  • Series 63/65 or 66 is required.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Wealth Management business.
  • Working knowledge of industry-leading Money Managers (e.g., Blackrock, Fidelity).
  • Thorough knowledge of Broker/Dealer products, including Advisory platforms, Mutual Funds, Variable and Fixed/Index Annuities, Stocks, Bonds, ETFs, and 401k plans.
  • Strong technical skills, including MS Office, Zoom/Teams, Co-Pilot, proposal software, and CRM.
  • Good phone-based communication skills: articulate, polite, confident, and able to establish relationships with the Field.

Ideal Experience (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Knowledge of GIAC Fixed Annuities.
  • Experience with Netx360, Envestnet, Salesforce/SmartOffice, Albridge, or Morningstar is a plus.
  • Professional designations such as CFP or AIF are preferred.
  • Experience in Sales Desk, internal wholesaling, or financial retail sales within Wealth Management is a plus.
  • Experience in field training and presenting to small/large groups via Zoom/Teams is a plus.
  • Life/Health insurance Licenses are preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $70,930.00 - $106,390.00

The salary range noted is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location. The final salary will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
