About the Programme

Our Technology Internship Programme offers the opportunity to spend three, four or six months, depending on individual circumstances, fully embedded in one of our teams. You will work on impactful projects that drive technological advancement and deliver meaningful business impact.

You will receive formal training and comprehensive support from a dedicated buddy and mentor. Knowledge-sharing sessions and intern-specific events will help you build a broader understanding of Man Group and the wider financial services industry.

Projects may span technology domains including software development, DevOps and data engineering. You may have the opportunity to enhance our quantitative investment platform, integrate new datasets, extend our execution and order management systems, and contribute to our core technology platform.

By working closely with teams across Portfolio Management, Trading, Risk, Responsible Investment and Operations, you will develop a deep understanding of our business and the financial markets. You will also have the opportunity to present your project to senior management.

Candidates who demonstrate strong performance may be offered a full-time position on our Technology Foundation Programme, Man Group’s graduate scheme for launching exceptional technology careers.

Who We Are Looking For

As an intern, you will join a team that builds and runs the platform powering Man Group’s hedge funds.

Requirements

• Experience working with one or more programming or scripting languages, including Python, Java, C#/.NET or C++, or a demonstrable understanding of enterprise infrastructure.
• A genuine passion for technology. Please include links to relevant work, such as GitHub repositories, previous internships or hackathon projects, in your application.
• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics or a related technical discipline. This is desirable but not essential; candidates who are excited about the role and can pass the technical test are encouraged to apply.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional troubleshooting skills.
• Currently in the penultimate year of a master’s or bachelor’s degree.

Application Process

• Application window: 16 September–30 October 2026.
• CV screening: We will review your application and contact you by email to confirm whether you are progressing to the next stage. Due to high application volumes, there may be a short wait.
• Online test: A technical homework assignment expected to take no longer than one hour.
• Technical interview: A one-hour technical interview with an engineer from the team to assess your coding skills.
• Final interview: A 30-minute interview with a technology manager to assess your suitability for the programme. This may take place at our London office or via video call.

We will take your technical interests and preferences into consideration when determining which team you will join.

21 June 2027–10 September 2027 (three months).
