Responsibilities
- Ensure all construction activities are completed prior to conducting inspections.
- Prepare and plan the deployment of workers to fulfill the commissioning schedule.
- Ensure the preparation of procedures and guidelines for the systematic inspection, commissioning, and start-up of Hull equipment.
- Initiate and manage inspection and commissioning by coordinating between the company and the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
- Highlight operational issues related to machinery and equipment.
- Ensure the OEM adheres to the contractual agreement.
- Audit the worksite regularly and ensure proper housekeeping standards are maintained.
- Supervise onsite commissioning activities.
- Coordinate work with other trades.
- Prepare and maintain commission records of site observations, testing processes, and checklists.
- Track and review progress through HAT meetings.
- Attend progress meetings to maintain status updates and resolve issues with customers.
- Ensure all safety and precautionary requirements and procedures are followed during the commissioning process.
- Compile and update commissioning reports and records.
- Assist in identifying and rectifying commissioning and malfunction issues.
- Access the requirements for special tools and equipment needed for commissioning and initiate procurement if necessary.
- Review the tools and equipment used for safety and efficiency.
- Develop and update Risk Assessments (RA) accordingly and enforce them onsite, conducting weekly safety briefings with supervisors and workers.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Naval Architecture, Structural/Marine Engineering, or other electrical/offshore/electronic related fields.
- Trained by the Naval Institute.
- Shipboard experience of 3 years or more in a similar capacity is preferred. (Note: No experience considered for junior roles).
- Knowledge of Class requirements and Quality Standard requirements for shipbuilding, hull construction, and welding.
- Ability to understand shipbuilding, hull construction, and welding-related schematic and arrangement drawings and instructions.
- Knowledge and skills regarding the operational requirements of Hull auxiliary systems equipment.
- Adequate computing knowledge, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and email.

Location: Benoi Road (Island-wide transport provided)
Work Schedule: 5 days a week
Working Hours: 7:25 am - 5:00 pm
