Placement Analyst - Corporate Banking

Citi is looking for a Placement Analyst to join the Corporate Banking team in London.

Corporate Bankers are relationship-focused finance professionals responsible for understanding the complex financial issues facing our clients globally. As a Corporate Banker, you will drive client discussions covering capital structure, liability management, liquidity and funding strategies, risk management, and investment solutions. Unique to Citi, Corporate Bankers are also involved in deciding where to invest the firm's capital and executing on those investments, working closely with various Citi groups including Risk Management, Investment Banking, and Capital Markets. Our internship is designed to enhance your knowledge, offering training regardless of your current degree discipline.

Program Details

We are committed to teaching you the ropes. The 6-month program begins in February, placing you with a Corporate Banking team for the duration of the program. Your time here will involve:

• Conducting accounting and financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, and capital markets analysis.
• Completing fundamental risk and credit analysis.
• Liaising with product partners.
• Assisting in the presentation and development of new ideas to clients.
• Structuring deals.

Candidate Requirements

We encourage applications from individuals who meet the following criteria:

• You are in your penultimate year of university.
• Expected to achieve or have achieved a 2:1 (or equivalent) at undergraduate level in any degree discipline.
• You have a demonstrable interest in business.
• Fluency in a second language is desirable but not essential.

Successful candidates will be offered a competitive salary. This role is based at 33 Canada Square Canary Wharf - London, E14 5LB, United Kingdom. The position currently offers a hybrid working model, requiring a mandatory three days in the assigned office and allowing two days from home, subject to business approval.
