About the Role

Stripe is looking for AI-enabled builders who want to apply their skills at a company that deeply values quality and operates at global scale. We’re seeking early-career engineers who can solve problems, write code, ship features, and iterate quickly, with a core focus on elevating Stripe’s craft and quality.

This is a 12-month intensive training program. You will be paired with a host team within Stripe, given a broad mandate, and ideally placed in a full-time Product Manager role after completing the program.

What You’ll Do

• Embed yourself deeply with Stripe’s users: Work with users daily to understand their needs and develop new solutions. Stripe users expect the best financial technology, including deep insights, automations, and features enabled by AI.
• Own the entire lifecycle: Take a user problem from initial discovery through design, implementation, deployment, and iteration.
• Build on a home team and learn across Stripe: Start on one team, such as Dashboard, Docs, Crypto, or Payment Methods, and eventually transition into a full-time Product Manager role.
• Maintain an ownership mindset: When you encounter technical constraints, unclear requirements, or process friction, find a way forward. Navigate codebases, track down answers, and push through obstacles.
• Optimize how you work, not just what you build: Continuously refine your workflows and tooling to increase your leverage. Treat every bottleneck as an opportunity to automate or improve, and help others achieve the same goals.

• Users win: Deliver meaningful features and improvements week after week, creating a measurable impact for users.
• Quality and speed: Maintain Stripe’s quality standards while moving faster than traditional team-based development.
• Influence: Help your AI-enabled development approaches spread across the team and support others in building their AI skills.

Logistics

• Location: This is an in-person role based in a Stripe office in San Francisco, Seattle, or New York. You’ll benefit from direct collaboration and a strong support network as the team develops this program.
• Experience level: New graduates or candidates with 0–2 years of professional experience and a degree in computer science or engineering. Stripe values what you’ve built through internships, personal projects, or school more than a specific number of years of experience.
