Internship Overview (London)

Houlihan Lokey’s Financial and Valuation Advisory team is seeking an Intern for a 6-month internship at its London office. This internship provides the opportunity to work alongside investment bankers in a stimulating environment on various valuation and transaction assignments for clients across different industries.

You will receive valuable on-the-job training throughout the internship, with exposure similar to that of a first-year analyst. You will assist in the preparation of client materials and conduct market, industry, and company analyses. You will also gain experience in financial modeling, valuation analyses, and working as part of a project team. The internship offers exposure to a variety of financial advisory challenges, including the valuation of complex businesses, securities, and transaction structures.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Must be in the final year of study or a recent graduate available to work full-time
• Strong academic track record; a Master’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or business will be favorably regarded
• Minimum of one completed internship within investment banking is essential; prior experience in valuation, transaction advisory, or financial opinions is strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of valuation theory, methodologies, and applications
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, evidenced through prior transaction or valuation work
• Demonstrated interest in investment banking and valuation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Additional language skills in German will be favorably regarded
• International experience is desirable but not essential
• Motivated with the ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff in a rapidly changing, demanding, and rewarding environment
