Role details
Responsibilities
- Lead a team for rectification of engine system and equipment onboard ships.
- Ensure delivery of job defects.
- Conduct acceptance tests and trials for overhauled and/or repaired equipment.
- Troubleshoot defects on mechanical systems and onboard equipment.
- Carry out general repair and maintenance jobs onboard vessels or in workshops.
- Dismantle and troubleshoot mechanical defects.
- Repair and/or replace mechanical spare parts.
- Perform alignment checks and reassemble mechanical parts.
- Test equipment to ensure smooth operation.
- Run tests, report to the superior, and update the job completion status.
Requirements
- NTC/Higher NTC in Mechanical/Marine/Automotive related field.
- Preferably 1–2 years of relevant working experience.
- Basic understanding of components and functions of mechanical engines or diesel engines.
- Able to use IMT(E) hand tools such as micrometer, bore gauge, and torque wrench.
- Required to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays when necessary.
- Team player.
Other Information
Location: Pioneer Sector (daily transportation reimbursed to and from work)
Work Schedule: 5-day work week
Working Hours: 7:45am–5:00pm
