Mechanical Technician-Diesel Engines & Repairs (Tuas)

Responsibilities

• Lead a team for rectification of engine system and equipment onboard ships.
• Ensure delivery of job defects.
• Conduct acceptance tests and trials for overhauled and/or repaired equipment.
• Troubleshoot defects on mechanical systems and onboard equipment.
• Carry out general repair and maintenance jobs onboard vessels or in workshops.
• Dismantle and troubleshoot mechanical defects.
• Repair and/or replace mechanical spare parts.
• Perform alignment checks and reassemble mechanical parts.
• Test equipment to ensure smooth operation.
• Run tests, report to the superior, and update the job completion status.

Requirements

• NTC/Higher NTC in Mechanical/Marine/Automotive related field.
• Preferably 1–2 years of relevant working experience.
• Basic understanding of components and functions of mechanical engines or diesel engines.
• Able to use IMT(E) hand tools such as micrometer, bore gauge, and torque wrench.
• Required to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays when necessary.
• Team player.

Other Information

Location: Pioneer Sector (daily transportation reimbursed to and from work)

Work Schedule: 5-day work week

Working Hours: 7:45am–5:00pm
