Personal Banker SAFE Act, Forest Hills Branch

Position Overview

The Personal Banker (SAFE Act) is an entry-level role responsible for assisting with the execution of sales, products, and service activities in coordination with the customer service team. The overall objective is to foster customer relationships to build loyalty and increase sales to individual consumer clients.

Responsibilities

• Work with business credit requests under $250K; recognize and refer larger lending opportunities; cross-sell treasury and related small business products
• Build referral business opportunities through Centers of Influence (COIs) and the Member Get Member (MGM) Program
• Support strategies to grow the small business client base and implement sales plans targeting Book of Business customers
• Deliver client services via outbound calls and inbound calls to acquire new relationships and deepen existing relationships through cross-selling relevant products and services while providing an exceptional client experience
• Coach and guide Tellers and other branch staff on products and special programs, identify client needs, and provide appropriate referrals
• Identify client transaction needs, educate clients on service and digital channels, leverage available technology and marketing tools to uncover opportunities, and present product offers and financial solutions
• Understand and comply with Citibank policies, standards, and procedures
• Assess risk appropriately when business decisions are made, with particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets—driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; adhering to policy; applying sound ethical judgment; and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of relevant experience
• Previous banking, retail, or sales experience preferred
• Knowledge of Smart Banking tools and technologies
• NMLS registration; SAFE Act compliant
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Education

• Bachelor’s degree (or university degree) or equivalent experience
