Role details

Junior Social Video Producer

The Junior Social Video Producer will create fast-turnaround, mobile-first video content that brings the EBRD's work to life on social media and other platforms. Working within the Multimedia team, this role bridges the gap between traditional broadcast-quality production and the agile, authentic content that performs on platforms like LinkedIn and Instagram. The successful candidate will be comfortable directing a Managing Director on camera, editing on a laptop in an airport lounge, and collaborating with the wider Multimedia team on longer-form projects. This role will also produce video content for internal communications to keep staff engaged and connected to the EBRD's mission, and will travel to the regions where the EBRD invests to capture impact stories from the field.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Multimedia Team (Including Internal Communications)

  • Work as part of the Multimedia team on longer-form video projects, bringing a social-first perspective to planning and production.
  • Produce engaging video content for internal channels to keep staff informed and connected to the EBRD's mission and activities.
  • Travel to countries where the EBRD invests to capture compelling stories that demonstrate the real-world impact of the work—from infrastructure projects to small business growth.
  • Turn complex investment stories into accessible, human-centred video content for both internal and external audiences.
  • Help the team adopt more agile production methods and shift toward “good enough to publish” standards for appropriate content.
  • Maintain video and image libraries.
  • Support high-profile events, both internal and external (e.g., the Annual Meeting, Town Hall, COP, Davos, Literature Prize, etc.) with both polished and real-time content.
  • Train colleagues in mobile video production and social content best practices.

Social & Digital Content Production

  • Script, shoot, and edit mobile-first video content for LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social platforms, often turning around content within hours.
  • Direct the EBRD's leaders on camera, providing clear guidance to ensure they communicate effectively on social media (including coaching senior executives and requesting retakes when needed).
  • Produce platform-native content in vertical, square, and horizontal formats optimised for social media algorithms and audience behaviour.
  • Work closely with the Digital/Social Media team to align content with campaigns, trending topics, and strategic priorities.
  • Monitor competitor content from peer IFIs and bring insights on what is working in the social space.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Essential

  • Proven track record creating video content for social media platforms (portfolio required).
  • Proficiency in mobile and DSLR/mirrorless shooting, lighting for interview setups, and audio capture.
  • Strong editing skills in Adobe Premiere Pro (or equivalent); comfort with After Effects is a plus.
  • Ability to work quickly under pressure and deliver content to tight deadlines.
  • Confidence directing senior executives and non-professional talent on camera.
  • Understanding of what makes content perform on LinkedIn, Instagram, and emerging platforms.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; ability to script concise, engaging content.
  • Willingness to travel, sometimes at short notice.

Desirable

  • Experience in a corporate, institutional, or agency environment.
  • Familiarity with international development, finance, or sustainability topics.
  • Additional languages relevant to the EBRD's regions of operation.
  • Experience with motion graphics.
