Internship / Project Description

With engineer’s guidance, perform, collect data, and analyze unusually complex experiments to develop the physical vapor deposition (PVD) product.

Job Scope

  • Optimize PVD processes; measure metal film properties; organize data and reports for review.
  • Perform hardware characterization on moderately difficult systems in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • With engineer’s guidance, assist with troubleshooting moderately complex problems; conduct Root Cause Analysis; help resolve moderately difficult process engineering issues.

  • Learn about the semiconductor industry and its leading PVD technology.
  • Understand the complexity of PVD technology and gain hands-on experience using the tools.
  • Develop critical thinking skills and generate creative solutions.
  • Confidently discuss findings and articulate ideas.
