Overview of Role

The intern will have the opportunity to gain insight into the commodity trading industry and the crucial role tax plays in the company’s operations. This role also offers the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with professionals in an international environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Deepen your foundation in the Singapore tax regime
• Gain exposure to other taxes around the region and how they matter to the company
• Support in reviewing transactions to ensure correct tax treatments are applied
• Support in preparing various tax returns, computations, and tax reports
• Support in indirect tax analysis
• Assist in drafting tax processes or procedures
• Opportunity to be involved in tax projects
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by the manager

Profile

The individual should have the following qualifications/experience (not mandatory):

• Pursuing a university degree related to Finance or Accountancy with a basic tax background
• Desire to learn about accounting or taxation
• Excellent communication and business writing skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
• Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies
• Available for a standard 5-day work week for the full 6-month duration of the internship
