Interns will gain insights into the Exchange business and the finance value chain, with involvement in real-time work from Day 1.

Issuance and Custody (IPOC)

Brief Overview

The IPO & Custody (IPOC) team delivers services to more than 600 listed companies/issuers, Depository Agents, and CDP direct depositors. The team processes primary issuances of corporate bonds, Singapore Savings Bonds (SSB), and Singapore Government Securities (SGS), as well as other issuances such as structured warrants, certificates, DLCs, and ETFs. It also handles post-trade services including secondary market transfers and cross-border transfers against other markets.

Job Description

Business-As-Usual (BAU) Operations

  • Assist with the daily crediting of securities arising from new issuances, including Structured Warrants, Daily Leverage Certificates (DLCs), Structured Certificates, Warrants, Bond Issuances, and ETF creations/redemptions.
  • Support the processing of cross-border securities transfers with CDP’s foreign custodians.
  • Assist with crediting securities arising from Employee Share Option Schemes (ESOS), warrant conversions, and Singapore Government Securities (SGS) issuances.
  • Support reconciliation to ensure depository holdings are fully supported by physical certificates lodged with the appointed custodian bank.
  • Assist with processing securities crediting and withdrawals arising from expiries and early redemptions of Structured Certificates and DLCs.

Projects and Process Improvements

  • Support enhancement projects and strategic initiatives undertaken by the team.
  • Participate in process reviews and operational improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, controls, and scalability.
