Commercial Banking Relationship Manager Intern (Summer Intern)

This role supports the Line of Business in the development and execution of work projects to help achieve the Business’s goals and objectives. The Summer Intern embodies TD’s Shared Commitments and customer-focused culture.
Responsibilities
This Commercial Banking Intern functions as a Relationship Manager Intern, providing professional and efficient service to external and internal customers by:
- Shadow and assist with administrative support to Relationship Managers
- Assist Relationship Managers in closing loans, including clearing conditions of closing and preparing and organizing closing packages
- Support Relationship Managers with reporting, including pipeline, loan closing, and other input on the Bank loan origination platform
- Potentially work on projects that help identify, pursue, and manage accounts across a product or customer segment
- Identify complex problems and recommend new product and service solutions
- Identify opportunities for sales and/or delivery of solutions across business lines and segments
- Recommend best practices to improve products or services, applying a deep understanding of the target customer market and dynamics
- Identify and shadow problem resolution for complex requirements-related issues at all levels
Commercial Banking is offering in-person internship opportunities in New York, NY. Interns will be required to be in-office 4 days a week.

Education & Experience
- Pursuing a post-secondary degree in business-related disciplines
- Knowledge of Microsoft tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to take initiative and be accountable for actions
- Demonstrated leadership qualities
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Work authorized in the United States on a permanent basis without the need for employer sponsorship
- Anticipated graduation between December 2027 and June 2028
