Responsibilities

This Commercial Banking Intern functions as a Relationship Manager Intern, providing professional and efficient service to external and internal customers by:

• Shadow and assist with administrative support to Relationship Managers
• Assist Relationship Managers in closing loans, including clearing conditions of closing and preparing and organizing closing packages
• Support Relationship Managers with reporting, including pipeline, loan closing, and other input on the Bank loan origination platform
• Potentially work on projects that help identify, pursue, and manage accounts across a product or customer segment
• Identify complex problems and recommend new product and service solutions
• Identify opportunities for sales and/or delivery of solutions across business lines and segments
• Recommend best practices to improve products or services, applying a deep understanding of the target customer market and dynamics
• Identify and shadow problem resolution for complex requirements-related issues at all levels

Commercial Banking is offering in-person internship opportunities in New York, NY. Interns will be required to be in-office 4 days a week.

Education & Experience

• Pursuing a post-secondary degree in business-related disciplines
• Knowledge of Microsoft tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Ability to take initiative and be accountable for actions
• Demonstrated leadership qualities
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Work authorized in the United States on a permanent basis without the need for employer sponsorship
• Anticipated graduation between December 2027 and June 2028
