Job Description

The Product Analyst I, US Wealth supports product management in completing strategic and tactical initiatives related to the ongoing development and support of the TD Wealth Products & Platforms. This includes, but is not limited to, Advisory, Brokerage, Financial Planning, and Insurance & Annuity businesses.

Primary areas of focus include data gathering and translation to support new product evaluation; process improvement initiatives from requirement definition to implementation; collaborating with business groups to identify opportunities for process improvement; assisting with sponsor and strategy launches; and maintaining and improving relationships.

Depth & Scope

  • Works with large amounts of data, analyzes facts and figures, and makes recommendations to improve the business.
  • Evaluates product metrics, trends, and data to reach new conclusions based on findings.
  • Presents findings and translates data into understandable documents and business cases.
  • Responsible for monthly reporting by business line.
  • Breaks down cost and profitability analysis.
  • Supports internal procedures and processes required to maintain daily account activity.
  • Performs workflow and business analysis to develop operational procedures that meet business needs.
  • Assists in analyzing new business opportunities to assess their impact on workflow.
  • May assist in business plans using Acquisition and Segments teams to increase new account growth and track P&L impact.

Education & Experience

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of related experience required.
  • Experience with relational database structures.
  • Knowledge of coding languages (Visual Basic or SQL).
  • Knowledge of reporting tools (Business Objects, SAS), and MS Office.
  • Basic financial modeling skills.
  • Basic knowledge of banking product attributes and operational understanding of supported business areas.
  • Above-average communication skills.
  • Understanding of database structure with at least basic programming skills.
  • Ability to work independently on task-oriented assignments by assigned due dates.
  • PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite (strong Access and Excel skills are a must), with understanding of database design and troubleshooting.
  • Licensing (role dependent): Series 7, 63, and 65 (or 66), Life & Health, or willingness to get licensed.
