Purpose of the Role

To participate in the day-to-day activities of the UK Corporate Banking division, providing insights and expertise that help senior colleagues make informed client-focused decisions, develop new products and services, and identify new market opportunities.

Accountabilities

  • Manage client relationships and provide customer service support to clients and customers, responding to questions about products and services, and processing transactions under steadily decreasing supervision.
  • Execute small research projects to support strategic decision-making, and prepare presentations and reports to communicate research findings; collaborate with senior management to implement research findings for UK Corporate Banking.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Identify opportunities, develop business cases, and support the deployment and launch of new products and services for UK Corporate Banking.

Who We’re Looking For

To be considered for this programme, you must be in your penultimate year of your degree, in any discipline.

Ideally, you have a keen interest in finance and business. We value resourcefulness, teamwork, enthusiasm, and an entrepreneurial spirit, which may be shown through involvement in extracurricular activities.

Barclays will accept applications from candidates who require visa sponsorship to work in the UK and will provide a skilled worker visa for successful applicants if they meet the Home Office’s eligibility criteria for a skilled worker visa. Successful applicants who are not eligible to receive a skilled worker visa, and who we are therefore unable to secure a skilled worker visa for, will be required to have their own legal right to work in the UK on a full-time basis from June 2027 to August 2027.
