TD Securities is looking for candidates with varying backgrounds and experiences to join our 2027 Global Markets Credit – Summer Analyst Program and be immersed in our inclusive culture. This program connects you with experienced professionals through on-the-job training and desk rotations.
You will work alongside industry experts in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The program runs for ten weeks in person in our offices in New York City, from early June to mid-August.
About the Team
The Global Markets Credit function enables various trading desks to transact with clients by conducting credit underwriting and transaction structuring for different types of counterparty exposures. Clients use a wide variety of capital market trading products, such as derivatives and lending facilities. The group also monitors and performs ad hoc reporting on the credit risk profile of TD Securities’ clients.
Responsibilities
Training & Orientation
- Begin with a firmwide orientation to integrate you into the organization’s culture.
- Complete an interactive technical training program designed to teach the building blocks of financial institutions and the jargon of Global Markets.
Mentorship and Networking
- Participate in a formal mentorship with employees who will guide your experience at TD Securities and beyond.
- Engage in a Senior Speaker Series to familiarize yourself with Global Markets and related divisions (Corporate & Investment Banking, Equity Research, and Business Operations).
- Attend social networking events with other Summer Analysts and Firm employees to experience the culture and assimilate into the Firm.
Hands-on Experience
- Assist in preparing high-quality credit submissions related to business proposals.
- Conduct appropriate market, industry, and client credit analysis, with clear rationale for credit decisions and borrower risk ratings.
- Work closely with other product groups (including TDS Treasury Sales and Trading, TD Securities Cash Management, TDS Trade Finance, and other business areas) to ensure credit needs are met.
- Perform ongoing monitoring of counterparty performance and credit exposures, including compliance with authorized credit limits and terms and reporting requirements.
- Identify potential problems requiring attention and recommend actions to manage risks in deteriorating credit situations.
- Support a strong credit culture by proactively raising issues related to credit, reputational, and operational risks.
- Assess the balance of risk and return as part of the credit underwriting process.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a four-year university or college degree with an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
- All majors welcome, but significant coursework in a business-related field is required.
- Results-driven with proven academic excellence and strong interpersonal skills.
- High ethical and professional standards.
- Strong financial/analytical/technical skills; MS Excel knowledge preferred.
- Proactive and highly motivated.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to become adept at financial modeling.
- Able to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated leadership (e.g., sports, clubs, extracurricular activities, philanthropy, etc.).

- After resume screening, selected candidates will participate in a series of first-round screening interviews.
- If selected to progress, you will participate in Superday interviews consisting of several back-to-back interviews with TD Securities professionals.
- The process will take no more than 1–2 months post deadline, with assessment of both professional and business competencies.
Compensation
The expected annual base salary is $110,000, pro-rated for the length of the summer internship. Salary offers are based on factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and market conditions.
