Private Credit Financing Analyst
The Private Credit Financing team is looking for an Analyst to join its team with approximately one year of experience in a credit analysis related position.
The Private Credit Financing team provides loan financing to asset managers (back leverage). The back leverage loans are collateralized by underlying pools of loans that these asset managers make to a variety of companies that are generally used for growth capital, leveraged buyouts, acquisitions, and recapitalizations across a variety of industry sectors, including technology, media, telecom, healthcare, business & consumer services, and industrials.
Responsibilities
- Perform due diligence of underlying pools of loans to assess them as collateral for loans to asset managers, including analysis of quantitative and qualitative factors for each underlying loan (e.g., historical financial performance and projections, investment highlights, risks and mitigants, and industry dynamics, including the company’s competitive position).
- Monitor the ongoing performance of the underlying loans and assess the overall performance of the asset managers.
- Use a variety of methods to value loans in order to update loan prices in the borrowing bases.
- Work with group structurers to structure and amend loans to asset managers.
- Prepare presentations for senior management regarding the performance of the group’s loan portfolio, including performance of the underlying loans (collateral).
- Stay current on market conditions in the Broadly Syndicated Market and Private Credit/Direct Lending spaces.
- Prepare and analyze data from the group’s collateral database to support presentations and discussions with senior management.
- Actively participate in group opportunities to analyze and execute direct corporate loans.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment to meet deadlines
Education
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
