Criteria

Current students studying in Universities based in Singapore.

Internship Duration

The internship will begin on 4 Jan 2027 and end on 28 May 2027. There is an option to extend the internship, with the extended period concluding on a fixed date of 6 Aug 2027.

What You Can Expect to Learn

• Immerse yourself in the cutting-edge world of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science (DS), gaining exposure to state-of-the-art techniques, models, and frameworks used in industry-leading practices.
• Develop a deep understanding of the semiconductor industry across multiple functional units, including how advanced AMD CPU/GPU products are designed, tested, and manufactured.
• Explore the end-to-end lifecycle of AI and data-oriented software solution development, applying industry best practices in architecture, implementation, and deployment.

Project Overview

Developing end-to-end AI and Data-centric software solutions to enhance the operational efficiency of AMD CPU/GPU product development.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with subject matter experts and stakeholders to resolve domain-specific problems that impact AMD business by enhancing operational efficiency.
• Create data science and AI models and/or solutions for domain-specific use cases to improve key business metrics compared to conventional approaches.
• Apply software engineering best practices (e.g., CI/CD and MLOps) to develop and deploy analytical and AI models into cloud-based production environments.
• Collaborate with the platform engineering, data engineering, and IT teams to refine and adopt data-specific workloads that support data-centric applications with AI and data science capabilities.

Who Are We Looking For

A self-driven individual willing to work on direct operational and engineering problems and solve them with AI and data science solutions. Passionate about applying practical approaches to real-world industrial problems (bonus: experience in full-stack software solution development, large-scale ML system development, MLOps, and generative AI).

Relevant Skillsets

Basic requirements

• Python (Pandas, Plotly, Scikit, Flask), SQL, and REST API development.

Advanced requirements

• CI/CD, MLOps, and Kubernetes.
• UI/UX and experience with ReactJS, Angular, or Vue.
• LLM, agentic AI frameworks, and skills-based development.

Training will be provided for these items wherever needed. However, interns should have basic Python coding experience and basic AI/ML and data science modeling knowledge (project work in the past would be beneficial).

Academic Credentials

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
