Intern/Co-op Role Overview

As an AMD intern/co-op, you’ll be placed at the epicenter of the AI ecosystem, working alongside experts and industry pioneers. Job Details

• Locations: Austin, TX; Boxborough, MA; Fort Collins, CO; Longmont, CO; Fishkill, NY; Rochester, NY
• Onsite/Hybrid: Full time (40 hours a week), in either a hybrid or onsite work structure throughout the duration of the co-op/intern term

Duration

• Spring/Summer Co-op: January 15, 2027 - August 13, 2027
• Summer Internship:
  • Semester Students: May 24, 2027 - August 13, 2027
  • Quarter Students: June 21, 2027 - September 10, 2027
• Summer/Fall Co-op:
  • Semester Students: May 24, 2027 - December 10, 2027
  • Quarter Students: June 21, 2027 - December 10, 2027

What You Will Be Doing

• Support Product Development Engineers in characterization and building production test programs through parametric, data, and statistical analysis.
• Be trained to perform engineering and correlation studies to ensure yield, coverage, and progress toward target goals to initiate production ramp.
• Work with multi-functional teams to resolve production-related issues and improve efficiency.
• Build and maintain technical documents; debug manufacturing and characterization test programs for next-generation AMD microprocessors.
• Participate in product debug and characterization to identify product performance, process, and test sensitivities.

Who We Are Looking For

• You are currently enrolled in a US-based university in an undergraduate degree program majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• If you have knowledge or experience in the following technical skills (or related areas) and are enthusiastic about this role, we encourage you to apply:
  • C++, Linux, Perl, Ruby, Shell scripting, Java, or similar
  • GIT, SVN, CVS, RCS, or similar
  • XP, Agile, Scrum, or Kanban programming paradigms
  • Logic analyzers, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and debug
  • Solid understanding of transistors and computer basics
  • Relevant coursework in computer science, software engineering, digital logic, circuit theory, and computer architecture
