Field Service Engineer I

As a Field Service Engineer I for Honeywell, you will work closely with project teams, consultants, contractors, vendors, and clients to ensure BMS systems are delivered safely, reliably, and in accordance with project specifications and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, program, configure, test, commission, and maintain BMS systems.
- Develop and modify BMS control logic and sequences of operation.
- Configure DDC controllers, I/O points, alarms, trends, schedules, and parameters.
- Develop and configure BMS graphics and operator interfaces.
- Carry out point-to-point checks, functional testing, system integration testing, and commissioning.
- Troubleshoot BMS hardware, software, communication, and control logic issues.
- Integrate BMS with third-party systems such as ACMV/HVAC, fire alarm, lighting, security, and electrical systems.
- Configure and troubleshoot communication protocols including BACnet, Modbus, OPC, and other relevant protocols.
- Review BMS drawings, schematics, points lists, sequences of operation, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with main contractors, consultants, subcontractors, equipment vendors, and clients.
- Conduct site investigations and provide technical solutions for BMS-related issues.
- Prepare testing and commissioning reports, documentation, points schedules, and handover documents.
- Provide technical support for preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, operational performance, and energy efficiency.
- Supervise and provide technical guidance to technicians and subcontractors where required.
Key Experience & Capabilities
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Building Services, Automation, or a related field.
- Experience with BMS platforms such as Honeywell, Siemens, Johnson Controls, Schneider, Tridium Niagara, or equivalent will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of HVAC/ACMV control systems and building services.
- Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, OPC, TCP/IP, and other communication protocols.
- Good understanding of DDC controllers, sensors, actuators, control valves, VAVs, AHUs, FCUs, chillers, and other HVAC equipment.
- Experience in BMS testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and system integration.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, control schematics, points lists, and technical specifications.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a project team.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and work outside normal hours when required for testing and commissioning.
