The Team

A&M Tax is seeking Intern candidates to join its growing New York-based Transfer Pricing practice. The Transfer Pricing team looks for an energetic individual eager to develop skills in a rewarding area of consulting. Transfer pricing is a specialized area of international tax that applies economic analysis and analytic methods to intercompany pricing. A&M assists clients with developing cross-border prices that meet strategic goals and comply with international tax and transfer pricing regulations, serving multinational companies across a broad range of industries.

How You Will Contribute

• Prepare economic analyses to appropriately price intercompany transactions
• Perform intellectual property valuations for tax and transfer pricing purposes
• Prepare business models, supply chain evaluations, and future growth strategies for clients; identify transfer pricing opportunities (“issue spot”)
• Assist with post-merger integration following a life event for a company
• Conduct transfer pricing-specific due diligence for strategic and corporate buyers and sellers
• Assist with debt capacity and intercompany interest rate analyses
• Assist with planning and compliance transfer pricing documentation
• Prepare thought leadership materials
• Work closely with cross-discipline teams (Corporate Tax, International Tax, Transaction Tax, Tax Supply Chain Restructuring)

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance, statistics, or mathematics
• Preferred: Master’s degree in economics or finance, or definitive plans for meeting minimum educational requirements for CPA eligibility and licensure in the state of the assigned office location
• Prior internship or other experience in an advisory/consulting environment is a plus
• Strong writing, analytical, research, and organizational skills
• Strong personal motivation and integrity, with the ability to work well in a team environment
• Strong Excel skills are preferred (financial analysis and modeling are central to the role)
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced consulting environment and open to seeking greater responsibility early in your career
• Foreign language knowledge is not required, but may be a plus when working with multinational organizations
• Must be authorized to work in the US without employment-based sponsorship now or in the future (A&M will not sponsor applicants for US work visa status for this role)

Compensation

The hourly rate is $40 per hour.
