Business Area: Capital Markets
Gain exposure to Debt Markets, Equity Capital Markets, Real Estate Finance, Energy & Infrastructure, and Corporate Broking. From financing acquisitions and refinancing loans to raising equity and advising strategic transactions, you will see how we deliver complex solutions for major clients.
You could be placed in any of the teams below:
-
Equity Capital Markets (ECM) – Supporting listed and private companies across EMEA in raising equity through IPOs, Accelerated Bookbuildings, or Rights Issues, as well as helping shareholders place shares of listed companies to equity investors. The ECM team structures and markets strategic equity transactions and interacts daily with multiple teams across the bank, including equity syndicate, research, sales, industry groups, and the equity-linked team within ECM (which structures Convertible Bonds).
-
Corporate Broking – A strategic advisor role for listed UK corporate clients combining relationship management with strategic capital markets advice. Key areas include shareholder analysis, market intelligence, strategic advisory, and regulatory updates. You will work closely with company Boards, C-Suite, and investor relations, as well as with other parts of the bank including ECM, UK Advisory, Industry Groups, Coverage, and Equities.
-
Real Estate – Real Estate Capital Markets works with global real estate investors, including private equity funds, sovereign wealth funds, and REITs, to structure and deliver bespoke financings for commercial real estate acquisitions, developments, and take-privates. The team also leads strategic relationships with real estate corporates, partnering with colleagues across Global Banking and Global Markets to facilitate access to BNP Paribas’ full spectrum of products and services.
-
Energy and Infrastructure (E&I) – Advises and arranges limited recourse financing solutions across EMEA in the Energy and Infrastructure sectors. This includes advising clients on debt financing needs, arranging and structuring debt financing as mandated lead arranger, cross-selling other bank products (including hedging and cash management solutions), acting as coverage for certain clients, and monitoring exposure to transactions on its book.
-
Debt Capital Markets (DCM) – Supports investment grade corporate clients when raising, structuring, and managing their debt. Focus is mainly on issuing new debt (bonds or hybrids), and also on optimising existing debt portfolios through liability management. The role sits in Global Banking but is highly market focused, with responsibility for both executing deals and supporting more strategic transactions. You will partner closely with the other teams listed above.
-
Leverage Finance – Supports Private Equity funds and sub-investment grade companies in raising and managing their debt, optimising their capital structure.
-
Loan Capital Markets – Supports corporate clients primarily by structuring and financing their large acquisitions in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include learning financial modelling and credit analysis.
