Responsibilities

COO Office

• Support financial performance monitoring and analysis.
• Contribute to the implementation of governance, including preparation and/or coordination of committees led by Corporate Client Group (CCG) and Capital Markets Group (CMG).
• Assist in updating and/or reviewing risk & controls self-assessment; support execution of controls, maintain an audit trail and archive of control evidence, and report control results in internal systems.
• Assist in investigating and reporting operational risk incidents related to CCG and CMG, and follow up with relevant teams on remediation actions.
• Support audit missions and follow up to ensure timely closure of audit recommendations.
• Actively contribute to internal and external CCG & CMG communication initiatives in collaboration with Brands & Communication.
• Contribute to transversal projects, strategic initiatives, and training rollouts.

Coverage

• Support the preparation of client presentation materials, pitch books, and internal meeting memos.
• Research and analyze companies and industries (e.g., financial statement analysis and industry/market secondary research to extract market data).
• Gather and analyze client data to support the Annual Credit Client Review and Client Action Plan process.
• Update central data collection tools based on knowledge gathered from Senior Relationship Managers and external sources during pitches.
• Review contractual documentation and coordinate with Legal/Compliance (e.g., for Loans, ISDA, etc.).
• Coordinate internally and externally for the client due diligence process, including collecting KYC information (e.g., address, turnover, balance sheet, key contacts).
• Conduct research using the bank’s data resources to document compliance processes and KYC.

Debt Capital Markets (DCM)

• Support senior marketers in developing client presentations, letters, and proposals.
• Conduct data analysis on new issues and credit analysis on target clients.
• Prepare frequent written market updates/newsletters and coordinate with other teams (e.g., Coverage, LCM, M&A, ECM).
• Assist in the execution of DCM mandates by coordinating internal and external resources.
• Support preparation of ad-hoc updates and presentations on topical events or new products.

Equity Capital Markets (ECM)

• Work closely across the BNP Paribas platform, including ECM, syndicate & sales, as well as coverage & banking colleagues, to execute the ECM strategy.
• Support ECM deals and manage day-to-day tasks.
• Develop and manage ECM business and expansion.
• Build financial analysis for various sectors and valuation models.
• Support execution of ECM transactions, including drafting marketing materials, devising marketing strategy, coordinating investor meetings and feedback, documentation, demand generation, pricing, allocation, and settlement.
• Stay abreast of market developments and track transactions to understand ECM pricing, demand, distribution, and pipeline.

Industry Groups – Sector

• Support origination and assessment of IB deal opportunities (e.g., M&As, financial advisory, IPOs).
• Organize and prepare pitch books and other presentation materials for client meetings.
• Research targeted industries/companies; monitor key economic developments, ongoing industry trends, and company news, and provide relevant analysis.
• Interpret financial information/data to evaluate a company’s financial performance.
• Develop financial models and perform valuation analysis.
• Maintain databases, credentials, and model templates.
• Support and participate in transaction execution across all stages.
• Coordinate and maintain communications with clients and/or other professional parties.
• Assist in document preparation (e.g., teasers, information memorandum, management presentations, board presentations).
• Build financial models/valuation analyses and prepare timetables with relevant parties (mainly internal) to obtain essential data and/or information.
• Assist in due diligence and analysis.
• Support internal procedures (e.g., compliance checks, mandate committee approvals, filings).

Investment Banking (IB)

• Prepare pitch books, teasers, or other presentation materials for potential IB opportunities (e.g., M&A and ECM) and support other banking opportunities.
• Assist with market and industry analysis and research studies.
• Prepare valuation-related analysis (e.g., trading comparables, transaction comparables, trading data analysis, DCF).
• Provide support in transaction execution.
• Assist the KYC process during new client onboarding and/or annual client review.
• Support transaction execution by participating in due diligence, valuation, and general project coordination (internal and external).
• Support client marketing and/or deal-related analysis as needed.

Loan Capital Markets (LCM)

• Perform credit analysis including financial modeling, risk analysis, financial analysis, and legal/structure analysis.
• Draft initial screening memos, credit applications, and other internal papers under the supervision of a senior team member.
• Support Loan Senior Originators (VPs, Directors, and Managing Directors) in originating loans across Asia-Pacific, including idea generation, prospect identification and screening, initial credit/debt capacity analysis, financial spreading, and pitch book preparation (in coordination with M&A, IBA Sectors, DCM, ECM, and SH).
• Support senior originators on loan structuring, term sheet drafting/negotiations, and financing documentation reviews/negotiations.
• Coordinate all closing and funding-related tasks and liaise with internal teams (e.g., CTCM, KYC onboarding, CRC, and Coverage/RMs) to complete internal administrative processes for credit application/approval and funding procedures.
• Prepare annual reviews and process waiver requests for transactions booked by LSF.
• Maintain impeccable conduct and strict individual compliance with applicable compliance, conduct, and other policies.

Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A)

• Support the origination and execution of M&A and fundraising transactions for corporate clients across sectors.
• Analyze market data.
• Build financial and valuation models.
• Prepare client presentations for M&A and fundraising.
• Assist in managing client transactions from pitch to close under the guidance of seniors.
