2026 APAC Long Internship – Global Markets

Our 6-month internship programme provides training and dedicated support as you develop an in-depth knowledge of specific areas of the banking sector. You will shadow industry-leading specialists and gain exposure to the business, helping you understand your skills and the future direction you wish to take.

Eligibility

• Penultimate or final year undergraduate student in any discipline from a recognized university.
• On track for a GPA of 3.3 out of 4.0 or above (or equivalent) in any discipline.
• Fluent in spoken and written English (additional languages are an advantage).
• Demonstrates an inquisitive mindset, analytical skills, mathematical aptitude, and a keen interest in the latest finance topics and market trends.

What You Can Expect

During the 6-month placement, you will learn on the job, take part in insight events, attend product training and forums, and experience professional networking gatherings. You may be considered for conversion to join BNP Paribas’ graduate programmes.

What You Will Do

Sales Intern

• Work with trading teams to deliver the best services to clients.
• Learn how to create innovative solutions in response to changing market trends.
• Support activity by analyzing opportunities and producing research and market analysis.
• Develop an understanding of different asset classes and product types.

Trading Intern

• Be part of a team that trades a comprehensive range of asset classes across every index, exchange, and market worldwide.
• Gain hands-on experience to provide market access and liquidity to the Bank’s customers and manage underlying risks.
• Develop tools for teams to assist in analysis or risk management (coding skills are a plus, and can be learnt on the desk).

Primary Market Intern

• Conduct data analysis on new issues and credit analysis on target clients.
• Assist in the execution of DCM mandates by coordinating internal and external resources.
• Support Origination and Structuring teams in sourcing, executing, and placing clients’ securitization transactions.

Structuring Intern

• Participate in the creation and promotion of new products matching changing market conditions and client needs.
• Assist with pricing and executing complex transactions involving designed marketing derivatives.
• Develop tools and frameworks for risk analysis to identify new opportunities arising from market and regulatory changes.

Quantitative Research Intern

• Create and implement mathematical models and strategies used for pricing and market-making.
• Work with Trading, Sales, and Structuring by analyzing specific trades/risks and applying the optimal pricing model.
• Assess model suitability by reviewing assumptions, derivations, implementations, and limitations.

Research and Strategy Intern

• Be at the confluence of Sales and Trading desks.
• Analyze public and private information to derive practical insights for clients and Trading.
• Produce market commentaries and contribute to identifying trade ideas for internal and external distribution.

COO Office Intern

• Be part of a team managing transversal topics and interacting with all areas of the business (including Business Development, Management Information, Control Framework & Governance, etc.), and support senior Front Office management closely.
• Gain a comprehensive overview of how a trading floor is organized and operates in practice.
• Interact with global markets operational architecture teams and departments (IT, Operations, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Finance & Tax, etc.) and develop an in-depth understanding of how the Bank works.
