As a Forvis Mazars Forensic & Valuation Intern, you will develop expertise, expand your knowledge, and build collaborative relationships within the practice and with clients. You will also receive meaningful support from firm leadership for professional development while performing services for clients across the country. How You Will Contribute

• Prepare business valuation models and reports.
• Research and analyze industry, transactional, and economic information.
• Prepare for and participate in management interviews, either onsite or via teleconference.
• Assist audit teams with reviewing and testing fair value estimates.
• Assist with mathematical testing related to quality control procedures.
• Participate in investigations, litigation support, and forensic consulting engagements.
• Perform detailed analysis of financial and legal documents, including analysis of potentially fraudulent transactions and reconstruction of financial statements.
• Apply technical research skills to gather, organize, summarize, and interpret data to arrive at a conclusion.
• Deliver Forvis Mazars’ commitment to an unmatched client experience through timely and responsive communication with internal and external clients.

Minimum Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university.
• Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher (in major and overall).
• Some travel may be required, up to 20%.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

• Desire or ability to sit for the CPA exam.
• Desire to obtain credentials including Accreditation in Business Valuation (ABV), Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), and/or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

New York City Pay Transparency

Pursuant to the pay transparency laws of New York State and other local ordinances within the state including (but not limited to) New York City, the salary range displayed is for the New York markets. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Total compensation and benefits consist of salary, group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave. Forvis Mazars reserves the right to make changes to the salary range based on business needs.

• NY Minimum Salary (USD): $27
• NY Maximum Salary (USD): $39

Virginia Wage Transparency

Pursuant to Virginia’s Equal Pay Law, the salary range displayed is for the Virginia market. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Positions that are non-exempt will be eligible for overtime pay compensable at a rate of one and a half times the hourly rate for any hours worked over 40 in a work week. Benefits are eligibility-based and could include group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave. Forvis Mazars reserves the right to make changes to the salary range based on business needs.
