Role details
Company
Wise is a global technology company building the best way to move and manage the world’s money. Millions of people and businesses send money across borders, spend abroad, and make and receive international payments—Wise’s mission is to make those experiences easier and help customers save money.
Job Description
Wise is seeking a CRM Copywriter to join the CRM team in London. You will put business and personal customers at the heart of everything you do—choosing the right combination of words to deliver at the right time, through the right channel.
Wise has over 16 million customers, and you will create copy for emails, push notifications, and in-product messages. Your writing will help make complex topics—especially global transfers—clear, simple, and reassuring, with jargon-free language and a touch of Wise personality.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Write clear and concise copy that gives customers everything they need to know when they transact with Wise.
- Compose messages that guide customers throughout their Wise journey.
- Produce time-sensitive service communications.
- Craft copy for marketing campaigns that educate customers on how to use product features, as well as transactional campaigns that update and inform.
- Help brainstorm ideas and angles for all of the above.
- Support the CRM mission to deliver relevant, personalised, and timely communications across Wise channels and customer touchpoints.
Qualifications
Wise is looking for a creative, talented CRM writer with B2B and B2C experience, who can explain complex concepts clearly and concisely. Ideal qualifications include:
- Experience writing CRM copy for channels for a medium-to-large-sized business, preferably in a regulated industry.
- A pragmatic approach to writing, with an understanding of design and UX.
- Experience writing CRM copy for service notifications and marketing campaigns that encourage customers to take action.
- Clear writing samples demonstrating your ability to make complex product terminology friendly and understandable (e.g., a Google doc-type portfolio).
- Versatility across formats and urgency, from lifecycle email journeys to short CTAs and crisis emails (with a portfolio to show it).
- Experience collaborating with designers, product marketers, and product managers.
- Resilience to handle requests from multiple teams.
- Collaboration skills and an appetite to work closely across many parts of the Wise organisation, and with other creative disciplines.
- The ability to articulate the rationale behind decisions, including confidently disagreeing and giving and receiving useful feedback.
- The ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
About Wise
Wise is committed to building money without borders—without judgment or prejudice. The company values diverse, equitable, and inclusive teams, and aims to ensure every Wiser feels respected, empowered to contribute to the mission, and able to progress in their career.
