What You Will Do
- Plan and prepare manufacturing production schedules and departmental workflows to establish sequence and lead times for each production operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
- Expedite operations that delay schedules and update schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
- Analyze plant capacity and production requisition data to determine manufacturing processes and required resources; prepare production reports.
- Lead, manage, and train a team of Wafer Fab Operators/Technicians in day-to-day operations to meet daily targets and overall operation goals, including cycle time, throughput, prototype success, and fab shipment plans.
- Manage WIP and tools, including WIP balancing, held and queue lots management, and manage equipment PM, capacity, and constraints.
- Allocate and deploy manpower effectively for optimum productivity.
- Present daily production indices in module meetings and highlight key priorities for the Engineering team to focus on.
- Ensure and uphold safety, discipline, and housekeeping compliance in the work area for all personnel.
- Ensure proper documentation and continuously update manufacturing Standard Operation Procedures.
- Engage support groups such as IE and Engineering to ensure accurate and up-to-date assumptions, constraints, and UPH are used in tool capacity modeling.
- Engage CIM, AMHS, and MFG Systems teams to drive system improvements.
- Drive quality and productivity improvement projects.
What You Will Need
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in production control, preferably in a wafer fab or electronics/electrical industry.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to identify, assess, and solve problems.
- Willingness to support 12-hour rotating shifts (3 or 4 days’ work week).
