Job Purpose

The role is to assist senior team members in day-to-day business activities and contribute to a variety of tasks, providing a general introduction to the Research and Cash Equities business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the team head on all research tasks as an Analyst in the EMEA Equity Research business
  • Perform financial analysis and financial statement modelling
  • Monitor market trends, databases, and industry developments
  • Contribute to idea generation
  • Participate in written products, from quick briefs on earnings results or strategic events to more in-depth, original thought pieces
  • Attend and listen to client and sales meetings
  • Produce marketing materials for clients
  • Collaborate with the lead analyst and product management to generate and deliver a strong product pipeline
  • Help improve team infrastructure and processes with new ideas and tools
  • Communicate industry and stock views to sales, trading, institutional investor clients, management teams, and other stakeholders
  • Work with Research stakeholders internally (e.g., sales, traders, specialist sales) and externally (e.g., corporates and clients)

Requirements

  • Degree from a leading university with an excellent academic record, or equivalent work experience
  • Good understanding of financial markets
  • Curious and eager to learn
  • Confident verbal and written communication and networking skills
  • Proficient with MS Office tools, including Excel
  • Strong organisational skills, multitasking ability, and time management
  • Strong analysis and judgement
  • Meticulous accuracy with a keen eye for detail
  • Team player with a proactive, independent, enthusiastic self-starter mindset and strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent spoken and written English; additional languages are an advantage

  • You may only apply to four Long Term Internships over the course of a year (across any business area).
  • Successful candidates for this long-term internship will be considered for London only.
