Responsibilities

As an Investment Management Summer Analyst Intern for Europe with Hines, you will:

  • Gain hands-on experience by working with an assigned team specializing in specific functions within the Commercial Real Estate Investment Management process.
  • Assist with underwriting of new projects and asset management of operating properties.
  • Support assignments such as vetting potential investments, assisting with research on new markets and product types, and investigating new business lines.
  • Work on Hines’ top-quality assets with daily exposure to experienced real estate professionals.
  • Contribute to processes and decisions through market research, due diligence, financial analysis, and other related responsibilities.
  • With guidance from a manager and team, highlight your skills through a capstone project and present it to Investment Management staff and leadership at the conclusion of the summer.
  • Participate in an education itinerary, including lunch & learns and tours with various Hines departments and properties.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

  • Students from any academic discipline will be considered; however, a strong math and quantitative aptitude is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects.
  • Current second-year and third-year students will be considered, along with final-year students who will be immediately entering a graduate program.
