What You Will Be Doing
The Diagnostics team develops tests and suites that exercise and validate hardware blocks for AMD’s processors. These diagnostics are used across the product lifecycle—from pre-silicon verification through production.
- Design, implement, and verify diagnostics tests used in processor qualification and production test suites for internal and external customers
- Debug and resolve hardware and software problems
- Analyze fallout boards to identify opportunities to improve test time, effectiveness, and efficiency (training will be provided)
- Resolve customer issues, including investigating and debugging diagnostics source code using advanced C++ at a system level in a Linux environment
- Assist with ASIC bring-up and support activities for data center/AI, gaming graphics, and embedded hardware products
- Build and debug automation tools and scripts to support the above activities
Who We Are Looking For
- Currently enrolled in a Singapore-based university in a Bachelor’s program majoring in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Knowledge or experience in the following technical areas (or related areas) is strongly encouraged:
- Software programming (C++, scripting)
- Familiarity with PC/system, GPU, and CPU hardware architectures
- Software development and debugging in Linux
- Source control systems (e.g., Git, SVN)
