Responsibilities

  • Assist in the timely closing of accounts and preparation of consolidation schedules.
  • Assist in preparing financial schedules, statutory accounts, and ensuring the quality of accounts.
  • Prepare month-end journals in accordance with established processes, work procedures, and local legal and statutory requirements.
  • Perform reconciliation of monthly audit schedules, inter-company, and bank transactions.
  • Assist in preparing reports for operational performance/control compliance review.
  • Support process review and process improvement initiatives, including assessing and developing automation solutions.
  • Support ongoing system implementation or process transformation projects.

  • Understand the preparation of reporting packages/financial statements.
  • Understand the analysis used by finance to monitor performance and control compliance.

Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate in Accounting, Finance, Business, Data Analytics, or related disciplines.
  • Basic understanding of accounting concepts and financial processes (e.g., AP, AR, GL, closing cycle).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, use of formulas).
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends/issues.
  • Exposure to data tools or systems (e.g., Power BI, SAP, or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • Demonstrates interest in process improvement, standardisation, or operational efficiency.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders.
