Job Description

The intern will be responsible for:

• Assisting the Shift Engineers and Operation Lead in the daily management of DC Operations and Periodic Preventive Maintenance Management to ensure 100% uptime of critical DC M&E systems.
• Assisting with briefings and handovers to the Shift Duty Technician on all outstanding issues and Standing Instructions from the Operation Lead, Assistant Manager, and Manager.
• Conducting daily routine checks based on a predetermined checklist to ensure there are no environmental abnormalities and that all critical M&E-related systems are in good working condition.

Learning Outcomes

• Understand Data Centre Operations and the importance of uptime.
• Understand and manage clients, customers, and vendors.

Job Requirements

1. Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities/Building Management, or an equivalent field of study.
2. Ability to understand and appreciate electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment, such as transformers, generators, fuel systems, UPS systems, chillers, air handling units, chilled water plants, fire alarm systems, and fire suppression systems.
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
