In the last decade, the group has been involved in many of the largest and most high-profile reorganizations, including restructurings for PG&E, J Crew, iHeart, WeWork, Revlon, Intelsat, Saks Fifth Avenue, Del Monte, Tropicana, and Puerto Rico. The New Business Research Analyst (“NBRA”) will report to the RSSG Partners and the Chief Operating Officer (“COO”) of RSSG. The Analyst will support new business development and research and analysis of distressed company situations to identify and source potential new business opportunities.

- Work with the Partners and COO to screen and identify companies/industries that are at risk or will become at risk of increased defaults.
- Proactively work with and present research and analysis to RSSG leadership in support of new business development efforts, including financial modeling to analyze company cash flows and sector/industry analysis and research.
- Prepare company and industry/sector presentations for both internal and external use.
- Participate in business development efforts and meetings with hedge funds, private equity funds, and law firms.
- Assist RSSG deal teams with research and market data requests.
- Maintain internal databases and market statistics for use in marketing materials and presentations.
- Work with the Partners and COO on RSSG financial budget forecasting, quarterly reporting requirements, and other internal RSSG projects for quarterly management and board presentations.
