Overview

Guardian Glass is looking for a motivated Forklift / Overhead Crane Operator to join our team in Geneva, NY. Operators perform a variety of coordinated activities that support safety, quality, and shipping goals. The role requires comfortable experience with forklift and overhead crane operations. You will work with co-workers, team leads, and supervisors to develop skills and contribute to a strong safety culture.

Shift

Friday - Monday (weekend role) 6am - 3pm OR Monday–Friday night shift 10pm – 6am

Starting Wage

Starting hourly wage is $20 per hour and commensurate with experience.

Your Responsibilities

• Handle and move materials using forklifts and overhead cranes on and off trailers
• Operate equipment and mechanized devices used in daily production
• Inspect equipment, materials, and products to identify causes of errors, problems, or defects
• Communicate and escalate problems, concerns, or improvements to supervisors, leads, and co-workers
• Perform other functions in warehouse and shipping as needed
• Communicate information to supervisors, leads, and peers in a professional manner
• Strive to improve in a continuous operation and fast-paced changing production environment

Basic Qualifications

• Experience loading and unloading trailers
• Experience operating a forklift

Preferred / Additional qualifications

• Experience operating an overhead crane
