Job Purpose:

Are you keen on helping shape the future of Allianz in Asia, a key growth region for the organization? Join our regional agency distribution team in the Asian headquarters and experience the inner workings and strategic steering of the Life and Health insurance business units. You will collaborate with external and internal stakeholders and support the regional team on different projects, contributing to the transformation of the distribution channel. This is an opportunity to gain insights and practical experience in the financial services and insurance industry, specifically in corporate strategy and distribution, in an international environment with exposure to various markets in Asia.

Candidates must be able to commit to a full-time 5-6 month internship.

What you do

• Support analysis regarding distribution management activities via dashboards and reports in the areas of distribution and corporate strategy (e.g., financial KPIs, growth metrics, competitor analysis).
• Analyze current trends, key players, and market developments across Asia.
• Review company financials, growth drivers, and economic factors shaping the insurance landscape in Asia.
• Provide data analysis and interpretation of relevant agency, bancassurance, customer, and market data.
• Contribute to and support the regional growth strategy to transform the agency distribution channel.
• Manage ad-hoc strategic initiatives related to the development and execution of distribution ecosystem strategies.
• Manage internal and external stakeholders across the region.
• Support the creation of compelling market development pitches.

 

Through the activities above, the intern will gain exposure to business steering activities and the development of distribution strategies of an international insurer, obtaining hands-on experience by participating in real-life tasks and assisting team members.

What you bring

1. You are a business administration/finance/actuarial science/statistics undergraduate looking to understand corporate strategy from a regional standpoint.
2. You are comfortable handling various data sets (financial, people, functional KPIs).
3. Prior experience in dashboard creation.
4. Analytical approach to problem-solving.
5. Able to work well with others in a fast-paced setting.
6. Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and AI skills (e.g., ChatGPT or Copilot).
7. Previous experience in Consulting/Strategy roles is a plus.
