Purpose of the role

To participate in the day-to-day activities of the investment banking division. Gain broad exposure to different types of clients, transactions and focus on specialist areas.

Accountabilities

  • Collaborate on live deals, client pitches, and support the team with advising on a broad range of corporate clients, delivering holistic, structured solutions to achieve client goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Identify opportunities, develop business cases, and manage the deployment and launch of new products and services for investment banking.
  • Manage client relationships and provide customer service support to clients, responding to questions about products and services, and processing transactions with increasing independence.
  • Develop and implement financial models and strategies that support decision-making in investment banking. Understand how businesses operate and learn from industry experts.

Why the Investment Banking Summer Internship Programme?

As a Banking intern, you will work with various Investment Banking teams. You’ll help answer clients’ strategic questions and deliver holistic, structured solutions to help clients achieve their goals, whether through mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt origination, loans, capital raising, structured solutions, or risk management.

As a Summer Analyst, you’ll spend the summer learning the art and science behind executing a transaction. As a member of one of our coverage or product groups, you’ll work on live deals and deal proposals. You may also work on projects that include:

  • Financial analysis and modeling
  • Valuation
  • Industry research
  • Client due diligence
  • Developing written materials, including offering memoranda and new business presentations

Who we're looking for

To be considered for this programme, you must be pursuing an undergraduate degree with anticipated completion between December 2027 and June 2028. Ideally, you will have a GPA of 3.2 or above and a keen interest in finance and business.

You should also be fluent in written Chinese and spoken Mandarin if applying to the role in Hong Kong SAR.
