Overview
Our New York City office is seeking an Investment Banking Analyst to join the Media & Communications Group. The successful candidate will work with regional and international clients on a wide range of complex transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, shareholder relations, recapitalizations, demergers, leveraged buyouts and defenses against unsolicited takeover attempts, strategic advisory assignments, and executions of public and private capital markets transactions. You will work closely with professionals throughout the firm to deliver high-quality advice to clients and will be part of a team that encourages you to think creatively beyond the numbers.
Responsibilities
- Support deal execution across M&A, capital markets, and strategic advisory engagements.
- Conduct financial analysis, modeling, and valuation supporting client engagements.
- Participate in client discussions, prepare presentation materials, and assist in due diligence processes.
- Collaborate with senior professionals to develop actionable recommendations and creative solutions.
Qualifications
- Up to 1 year of experience in investment banking, capital markets, or corporate finance.
- Motivation, attention to detail, strong work ethic, and sound decision-making abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Analytical, quantitative, adaptive, self-starter, team player, multitasker, and results-oriented.
- Interest in developing a career in investment banking.
- Bachelor’s degree required; top education credentials.
- Series licensing or willingness to obtain appropriate licenses.

Compensation
Expected base pay for the role is $110,000 per year at commencement. Base pay is determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which may include commissions, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short- and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley-sponsored benefit programs.
