Responsibilities
- Proficient in products, services and routine transactions to educate on Bank products and services or refer customers to appropriate team members, ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Maintain broad knowledge of the full product suite, services, and processes of the business area, with low to moderate complexity/risk.
- Establish and nurture customer relationships by displaying product knowledge, actively listening to customer needs, and offering solutions or partner referrals.
- Make product recommendations based on customer needs and highlight features and benefits that support customers through life events, save time and money, and exceed expectations.
- Utilize customer relationship management tools to proactively identify solutions and lead-focused outbound sales activities.
- Independently resolve customer issues and escalate when necessary.
- Build working relationships with customers and explain detailed or complicated information.
- Participate in customer outreach, servicing and advisory activities to deliver on TD's commitments.
- Engage in conversations about loan products and facilitate the application intake.
- Maintain active registration with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry).
Education & Experience
- HS Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of experience working with customers and/or sales in any capacity or equivalent demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience (preferred).
- Teller experience (preferred)
- Must be able to complete teller training upon hire to handle customer transactions
- Ability to engage customers in conversations while educating them on products and services (preferred)
- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills—concise, clear, and consistent
- Ability to schedule and prioritize work
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Sound judgment and effective problem solving
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Notary License (Preferred)
Customer Accountabilities
- Deliver legendary experience by helping customers, building relationships, and providing service and advice
- Support the bank's customer service strategy with end-to-end advice, including educational content/tools, consultative support, and proactive insights
- Act as a customer advocate, improving financial confidence and providing resolution and savings tips
- Deliver a legendary customer experience through effective problem resolution or sound advice
- Lead lobby activities by guiding customer flow, welcoming customers, and identifying needs
- Educate customers on self-service options that meet their needs
- May act as a point of escalation for customer questions or concerns
- May perform teller transactions (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, check cashing) while monitoring fraud and adhering to policies
- Consider the impact of decisions on TD, customers, and stakeholders
- Act as a brand champion internally and externally
- Educate clients on self-service channels and digital options
- Bring your genuine self and turn each banking transaction into a personalized interaction
Shareholder Accountabilities
- Ensure compliance with guidelines and regulations (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act) to minimize risk
- Participate in daily operations to align with TD's risk framework
- Understand and apply operating policies and procedures
- Support timely and accurate completion of business processes
- Escalate non-standard or high-risk transactions as necessary
- Ensure accurate documentation that reflects client intentions and regulatory requirements
- Provide due diligence to support transaction accuracy
- Comply with Bank Code of Conduct
- Contribute to operational excellence by understanding accountability for a well-run location
- Adhere to risk and control policies/procedures

OCC Language
- This position falls within the definition of Loan Originator under Regulation Z (Truth in Lending Act) and Mortgage Loan Originator under the SAFE Act
- Must be eligible for employment with a covered financial institution under Regulation Z
- Must be eligible for registration as a registered mortgage loan originator with the NMLS
- Subject to criminal background check and credit check, with required disclosures per federal law
