Mechanical Engineer - Ship Repairs (Pioneer Sector)

Responsibilities

• Attend meetings with customers to address ship defects and other technical issues.
• Prepare service acceptance documents and technical reports upon completion of defect rectification works.
• Plan, schedule, and assign daily work tasks to the production team.
• Provide technical suggestions and solutions to assist customers in resolving problems.
• Monitor job progress to ensure timely completion and adherence to schedules.
• Ensure all work complies with applicable appliance standards and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Adhere to service standards, work instructions, and customer requirements.
• Actively participate in and support ongoing and new projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering.
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in the marine and/or heavy industry sector will be advantageous.
• Basic understanding of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating principles is advantageous.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical system components and their functions.
• Ability to read and understand simple technical drawings and service reports.
• Basic communication skills to interact with customers and stakeholders.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Other Information

• Work Location: Pioneer Sector (Daily transportation reimbursement provided for travel to and from work)
• Work Schedule: 5‑day work week
• Working Hours: 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM
