Investment Banking Analyst – EMEA Media & Communications Advisory

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join a dynamic team and contribute to our Investment Banking business. The EMEA Media & Communications Advisory team comprises professionals with strong client relationships across a broad range of leading companies. As an Analyst, you will participate in the origination and execution of investment banking mandates across major product areas. You will be involved in the full cycle of transactional execution, including preparing marketing pitches, reviewing and formulating financial analyses, and preparing internal committee memoranda and client presentations for use in M&A, capital markets transactions, or strategic dialogue.

Job responsibilities

• Perform detailed valuation analyses, including DCF, trading comparables, transaction comparables, and LBO analyses
• Support daily deal execution and project management for clients
• Perform detailed combination, transaction structuring analyses, and other financial analyses
• Prepare presentation books, management presentations, board materials, memorandums, and other presentation materials for corporate finance transactions or strategic client dialogue
• Interact with senior team members and client management teams daily to execute transactions and discuss strategic alternatives

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

• Relevant Investment Banking or leading Corporate Finance experience, ideally within the Media, Telecoms and/or digital infrastructure sectors
• Ability to interact with clients and colleagues in a professional and mature manner
• Proficient financial modelling/valuation and analytical/numeracy skills
• Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• Comfort with and commitment to a teamwork environment
• High level of attention to detail and time management
• Highly motivated, adaptable, able to multi-task and manage projects independently
• This role encompasses regulated activity. The successful candidate will be subject to regulatory requirements in assessing fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and, where appropriate, approval by the relevant regulatory authorities to carry out such activities.
