Investment Banking Analyst - Strategic Insights & Advisory

Overview

The Strategic Insights & Advisory Group’s bankers are an integral, client-facing team within Global Banking. The team helps originate M&A opportunities, raise equity for clients, guide companies through financial restructuring, discuss strategic alternatives geared toward growth, and provide other corporate strategy and corporate finance advisory services.

Responsibilities

• Utilize differentiating and proprietary corporate finance frameworks within client coverage, buy- or sell-side M&A, equity offerings (including IPOs), or strategic plan evaluations.
• Coordinate with senior coverage bankers to provide innovative solutions for UBS Global Banking clients.
• Engage in extensive financial modeling and demonstrate knowledge of corporate finance and strategy in the Global Banking context.
• Build a network of colleagues and client contacts inside and outside UBS to support career development.
• Work alongside senior bankers and gain exposure to leaders across a diverse set of industries, domestically and internationally.

About SI&A

Strategic Insights & Advisory (SI&A) provides market-driven strategic insights via differentiated analytical frameworks to help UBS Global Banking clients make better decisions and improve value creation. The team collaborates with industry, product, and country coverage partners to advise senior corporate executives on key drivers of market value and on actions to deliver superior shareholder returns, including capital allocation strategy, M&A (buy-side and sell-side), and equity offerings/IPOs. SI&A helps link operating performance to market reactions and uses AI-driven large language models to analyze clients’ equity narratives.
