About the role
This position reports to the Regional Head of Lending and will act as a joint resource to a pool of senior lenders, assisting them in assessing and evaluating credit risk and pricing. The individual will gain invaluable experience by working with experienced lenders on Private Bank's credit approval and management system, while applying the bank's credit risk policies, procedures, and underwriting standards.
Key responsibilities
- Carrying out research on prospective borrowers and proposed underlying collateral
- Assist lenders with monitoring of covenants
- Valuation of real estate and other non-financial collateral
- Closure of tasks in relevant tools
- Performance of periodic credit reviews
Key skills and qualifications
- Possesses excellent Excel skills
- Knowledge of advanced data analysis skills will be an advantage
- Sound financial acumen. Academic or professional qualification in finance, economics, or mathematics will be an advantage
- Fresh graduates who have graduated in 2024/2025/2026 from universities, polytechnics, institutes of technical education (ITE), or other educational institutions (e.g., private universities and overseas institutions); or graduated earlier from the above institutions and completed National Service in 2024/2025/2026
- No prior work experience and must be ready to commit to a full-time traineeship
