Overview
Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) provides investment and advisory services for pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, endowments, foundations, financial advisors, and individuals. GSAM combines traditional and alternative investments to deliver long-term performance for clients worldwide. AWM Private is the primary center for Goldman Sachs’ long-term principal investing activity, consisting of six main asset management businesses: Corporate Equity, Growth Equity, Corporate Credit, Infrastructure, Sustainability, and Real Estate. Investments are made on behalf of Goldman Sachs, its employees, and clients through a range of investment vehicles and strategies. The Finance group supports each AMW Private business through valuation, budgeting, forecasting, and related activities.
Position Description
The successful applicant will have the ability to understand financial information, draw relationships, and raise issues or concerns. They will demonstrate a high degree of integrity, strong attention to detail, and be highly motivated and client-focused. They will support more senior team members with recurring tasks, project-based work, and ad hoc analyses.
Responsibilities
- Determine and support appropriate fair market values across multiple investing disciplines and geographies
- Prepare and maintain multi-year departmental revenue, balance sheet, and other risk metric forecasts across multiple investment strategies
- Maintain working knowledge of significant investments and forecasting assumptions
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the valuation and budgeting process
- Respond to ad hoc requests and prepare analyses as needed
Additional responsibilities will be based on the needs of the division and the candidate’s specific skills.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business discipline
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of capital and debt markets
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
- Strong coordination and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task, meet tight deadlines, and handle stressful situations
- Ability to work independently in a small team, exhibit initiative, and be proactive
- Ability to organize and analyze large volumes of information
- Team player, willing to help in areas not explicitly related to job duties
- Comfortable working with a manager in a remote location
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: The expected base salary for this New York, NY-based position is $85,000–$110,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
