This internship provides hands-on experience in Transaction Banking (TB) and the opportunity to work with multiple TB teams across APAC and SEA.

Program Details
We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible undergraduates to join a 6-month internship program. You will be exposed to the intricacies of Transaction Banking and learn how the bank partners with corporates to optimize Cash Conversion Cycles and improve Trade/Working Capital. Interns will be assigned to a dedicated team. Roles include:
- APAC Regional Cash Management Sales
- APAC Global Banking Business Management
- APAC Client Service and Cash Implementation
- APAC Cash Product Management
- APAC Regional International Trade
- APAC Global Trade Solutions Product Management
- APAC Banking and Network Management
- SEA Cash Management Sales
- SEA Supply Chain Management Sales & Structuring
Interns will have the opportunity to meet and network with managers and executives from different departments, enriching their understanding of how a bank operates. Interns may receive an internship allowance and could be offered a place in the Bank’s Graduate Programme upon graduation, subject to:
- Academic performance as per programme criteria
- Positive recommendation from the internship manager
Responsibilities
1. APAC Regional Cash Management Sales
- Support Sales pipeline management: review CRMLite input quality, validate pipeline with territories, verify revenue estimates.
- Prepare regional reports: data extraction, weekly pipeline reports, CM monthly dashboard, RFP tracking, and dashboards.
- Support various RFPs and regional deals.
- Provide periodic updates of CM product content and capabilities for RFPs and pitchbooks.
- Assist with projects, survey tracking, and award pitches.
2. APAC Global Banking Business Management
- Run periodic reporting and support monthly revenue simulations.
- Provide analytical support to LIS business: analyze deposit trends, pricing movement, and performance indicators.
- Assist in forecasting and budgeting, ensuring timely consolidation and validation of inputs.
- Support projects and strategic initiatives; manage New Joiner Broadcast (collect write-ups and consolidate).
- Prepare presentation decks for TBA senior management meetings and townhalls; coordinate content with stakeholders.
3. APAC Client Service and Cash Implementation
- Contribute to client service projects and industrialization initiatives (digitalization and outsourcing).
- Support client service dashboards and KPIs review; contribute to monthly analytics and reporting.
- Cash Implementation: enhance implementation pipeline reporting, track survey responses, monitor revenue on maintenance deals.
- Provide monthly client implementation analytics and follow up with country teams; update SOPs and tracking.
4. APAC Cash Product Management
- Provide product management support for TB APAC deployment as required by Cash product managers.
- Review product reference documentation and support product commercialization through data analysis and coordination with internal teams.
- Initiate and manage TB APAC product knowledge database, content governance, and participate in industrialization activities with regional product managers.
5. APAC Regional International Trade
- Support commercial activities and business management of Traditional Trade APAC.
- Create client pitches and contribute to regional RFPs, tailoring them to client requirements.
- Produce dashboards and management reports for Traditional Trade activities.
- Lead or contribute to data analytics projects (portfolio reviews, utilization, margins, revenues) and ad-hoc initiatives (industry deep-dives, market intelligence).
- Coordinate with APAC GTS sales teams and other internal functions as needed.
6. APAC Global Trade Solutions Product Management
- Assist with product requirements, testing, and acceptance for new IT deliveries.
- Support product ownership: gather requirements, drafting, prioritization, and user guides.
- Assist in testing/acceptance/demos/training for new IT deliveries.
- Produce regular management reports and marketing material for new features; support manual reports and transition to digital solutions.
7. APAC Banking and Network Management
- Support Transaction Bank Group activities: daily processing of GBS Trade requests, monthly reporting, monitor banks’ limits, and ad hoc projects.
- Support Correspondent Banking: manage SWIFT RMA keys, oversee Nostro/Loro accounts, AML monitoring, and prepare reports to ease workload on the specialist team.
8. SEA Cash Management Sales
- Cash Management Specialist: analyze key business drivers, support sales strategy, assist with client presentations, and develop internal pitches and case studies.
- Drive TB sales initiatives and monitor progress against growth metrics; contribute to internal dashboards (market trends, metrics, FX, pipelines, revenue projections).
- Cash Management Product: participate in SEA 2026 product roadmap development; participate in efficiency and governance initiatives; assist product commercialization and market studies.
- Business Management: prepare presentation decks, analytics, and consolidate data on key business drivers; work on various internal/external projects.
9. SEA Supply Chain Management Sales & Structuring
- Support SCM SEA leadership in structuring and deploying working capital solutions across SEA.
- Sales: prepare pitchbooks, perform cash conversion cycle analyses, produce updates on strategic trade finance corridors (French/German), and identify opportunities in key sectors.
- Structuring: create SCM memos, run pricing simulations (RAROC), draft termsheets, and prepare insurance analyses.
- Supplier onboarding: analyze suppliers for financing opportunities and assist onboarding under existing programs.
- Obligor management: approve new obligor limits, including with credit insurance.
- Compliance: perform TSAM/Fraud/AML checklists and assist with invoice sampling requirements.
- Business management: contribute to SCM management reports.
Qualifications & Skills
- Undergraduate students in data analytics, business, economics, finance, or related fields.
- Strong academic performance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Energetic, self-driven, and responsible; able to multi-task and stay organized.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint preferred).
- Programming knowledge such as Excel VBA and SQL is preferred.
